Student Clubs

Machine Technologies Club

The club conducts activities in the fields of Mechanical Engineering, Rocket Technology, Autonomous Technologies, Career Days, and the Defense Industry.

Communities affiliated with the Mechanical Engineering Club:

  • DBF (Design Build Fly Competition) Team (They design aircraft and participate in the DBF Competition held in the United States.)
  • MAKTEK Artificial Intelligence Group (They develop autonomous vehicles.)
  • YTU Racing Team (They participate in the FORMULA Student competition held in the U.S. and Europe.)
  • Yıldız Rocket Team (They participate in TEKNOFEST and the İREC competition.)
  • Solar Decathlon Team (They participate in the Solar Decathlon competition and work on energy-efficient home designs.)
  • Maker Group (They are working on 3D printing.)

 

SPARK Club

The SPARK Club produces projects and organizes events across a wide range of topics, from space to art, and from culinary arts to entrepreneurship.

Communities affiliated with the SPARK Club:

  • Yıldız Rover: Our Rover team represents our school in the ERC, ARC, URC, and Teknost competitions.
  • Yıldız Satellite: Our satellite team that represents our school in the CanSat and Teknofest competitions.
  • TEDxYildizTechnicalUniversity: Our international conference affiliated with TED.
  • GATO: The Gastronomy Club brings together all enthusiasts of the culinary arts throughout the year with dozens of tastings and major events.
  • SPARK-ed: A community within SPARK that offers training on a wide range of topics.
  • University4Society: A student-centered entrepreneurship team.
  • Tavan Arası Workshop: Our team dedicated to artistic projects.
  • Yıldız Studio: Our team responsible for developing the SPARK App, focusing on mobile applications and design.
  • Hult Prize: An international entrepreneurship competition.
  • Dilek Yıldızım: A social responsibility project.

 

Lagari Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Club

The Lagari UAV Club works on unmanned aerial vehicles and systems. It consists of teams that participate in AUVSI SUAS and Teknofest competitions.

 

Alternative Energy Systems Club

Research and development (R&D) and product development (PD) work on alternative energy systems. The club conducts research on the design and production of electric, hydrogen-powered, and autonomous prototype vehicles, model satellites, and drones.

 

Wind Energy Club

By developing vehicles powered by wind energy, the club represents our university in international competitions every year.

 

Quality and Productivity Club

Through various national and international events and training programs organized throughout the year, the club helps develop all students—especially engineering students—in the areas of career development, engineering, business, entrepreneurship, and social skills. Additionally, through ESTIEM—one of the organizations it is a member of—it offers its members opportunities such as traveling abroad at affordable prices and participating in various training programs and activities.
